FAQ
1. How long does shipping take?
Processing: 1‑3 business days (storage boxes, pant racks);3‑7 business days (wardrobes)。Shipping: 5‑10 days for small items;wardrobes via freight: 7‑20 business days (contiguous US)。You'll receive tracking via email.
2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout。Wardrobes may have separate freight charges。Free standard shipping on qualifying orders.
3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.
4. Do items require assembly?
-
Sliding door wardrobes: Yes, require assembly (attaching tracks, doors, shelves, hardware)。Instructions included。Often requires two people.
-
Pant racks: Minimal assembly (attaching brackets or mounting hardware)。
-
Storage boxes: Some require assembly (folding);others ready to use。
5. What safety standards do your sliding door wardrobes meet?
Our sliding door wardrobes that meet the definition of Clothing Storage Units (CSUs) under CPSC regulations (free‑standing, ≥27 inches tall, ≥57 pounds, ≥1.3 cubic feet enclosed storage volume) comply with:
-
16 CFR Part 1261 / ASTM F2057‑23: Mandatory safety standard for CSUs to protect children aged 0‑72 months from tip‑over injury or death. Includes:
-
Three stability tests simulating a child weighing up to 60 lbs interacting with the unit on both hardwood and carpet (with 0.43" test block).
-
Drawers loaded at 8.5 lbs/ft³。
-
Permanent warning labels (2"x2" minimum) and hang tags with performance data.
-
Anti‑tip device meeting ASTM F3096 (tested to 60 lb static load) and must be anchored to the wall.
-
-
16 CFR Part 1303: Surface coating lead ≤90 ppm for accessible parts.
-
CARB ATCM Phase 2 (40 CFR Part 770): Composite wood components (MDF, particleboard) ≤0.05 ppm formaldehyde emissions.
-
CPSIA: For children's wardrobes (intended for children 12 and under), lead ≤100 ppm (substrate), phthalates ≤0.1%, tracking labels per 16 CFR Part 1130.
Note: Sliding door wardrobes are explicitly included under CSU definition; standalone wardrobes are among the target products。
6. What products are excluded from 16 CFR Part 1261?
The following are exempt:
-
Clothes lockers and portable storage closets.
-
Shelving units, office furniture, dining room furniture, laundry baskets, built‑in closets, and single‑compartment closed rigid bins (storage cabinets).
7. What types of pant racks do you offer?
We offer wall‑mounted, over‑door, and freestanding pant racks。Materials: metal (stainless steel, chrome), wood, plastic。Pant racks are general‑use products not subject to CPSC children's product regulations. They comply with:
-
16 CFR Part 1500 (FHSA): No hazardous sharp edges/points, mechanical safety.
-
General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) available upon request.
8. What types of storage boxes do you offer?
We offer fabric, plastic, and wood storage boxes。
For general‑use storage boxes:
-
16 CFR Part 1610: Fabric components tested for flammability (Class 1 normal flammability).
-
FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423): Fabric boxes have permanent care labels attached for the useful life of the product.
For storage boxes intended for children 12 and under (CPSIA compliance):
-
Lead ≤100 ppm (substrate), surface coating ≤90 ppm.
-
Phthalates (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, DNOP) ≤0.1% (1000 ppm).
-
16 CFR Part 1130 tracking labels (manufacturer name, production date, batch number, country of origin) on product and packaging.
-
Children's Product Certificate (CPC) based on third‑party testing.
9. Do storage boxes need care labels?
For fabric storage boxes: Yes. FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423) requires permanent care instructions (e.g., "Spot clean only," "Machine wash cold") attached to the product for its useful life.
10. Do fabric storage boxes need flammability testing?
Yes. Fabric components must comply with 16 CFR Part 1610 (Standard for the Flammability of Clothing Textiles). Class 1 (normal flammability) textiles are acceptable for use in storage products。Class 3 (rapid and intense burning) textiles are banned and must be permanently labeled "FLAMMABLE (FAILS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE STANDARD)".
11. Does my storage box need a small‑parts warning?
If the storage box is intended for children under 3 years and contains small parts (fits within a 1.25″ choke tube), it must be labeled per 16 CFR § 1500.19:
"WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Not for children under 3 years."
12. What is California Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires warnings for products containing chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm。Our products may contain listed chemicals (e.g., formaldehyde in composite wood, lead in paints/phthalates in plastics, wood dust)。When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging。Furniture, home goods, and storage products are applicable categories covered by Prop 65.
